Shipping charges and times

Rates in Australian Dollars for standard Airmail worldwide (default):

Up to 125g$4.50 +GST
Up to 250g$6.00 +GST
Up to 500g$12.00 +GST

Air Courier attracts an additional charge of $10.50 +GST which is added to the single item weight charge, for example $10.50 + $4.50 (both +GST) for up to 125gm weight. If ordering more than one item then only nominate one (1) item with the Air Courier charge and leave the others as Airmail only.

GST of 10% only applies to Australian buyers. Your shipping rate is automatically calculated when ordering.

Unforseen supply problems or unexpected demand may occasionally result in stock being unavailable. Should there be a delay in dispatching your order we will contact you immediately to advise you of the reason for the delay. In this case you may cancel such an order at any time prior to processing.

Playing the video

Q: My Video player cuts off at the edges so I don’t see all of the picture, why is this?
A: If you have an older standard TV in the 4:3 format then you will need to set the DVD player menu to ‘Letterbox’ format. This is because the video is recorded in 16:9 format.

Q: Is the DVD playable in all international regions?
A: Yes, it is multi-region.

Q: Is the Video content is suitable to my level of experience?
A: All videos are aimed at:

  1. helping people get started
  2. becoming a ‘reference or refresher’ information piece
  3. making sure all existing users have a solid understanding of digital camera fundamentals.

Q: How do I know if the Video I purchase is applicable to my camera make and model?
A: All videos are generic and aimed at the average home user. Common controls are demonstrated across the range of cameras available at this time. Specifics may be mentioned in some cases of particular camera differences. Our aim is to make the information as user friendly as possible with minimal technical jargon being used.

Q: Can I use these videos in an education institution for teaching purposes?
A: No, these are licensed for personal use only. Please contact us for the education version.

Q: Can I copy any articles or material from the Teach Me Photo web site or videos?
A: No, all material is copyright protected. Contact us if you have a special request.

Exchanges and returns

Q: If I don’t like the video that I have purchased can I return it for a refund?
A: No refunds will be made.

Q: If I chose the wrong video format can I exchange the DVD?
A: You must contact us before returning the DVD for exchange. Yes, it can be exchanged but return postage will be payable by you. Postage will be payable prior to dispatch of the new exchange disk to you also. Please see the contact page for our postal details.

Q: My DVD was damaged in transit how do I get a replacement?
A: Contact us immediately.

Q: Where can I find extra information on exchanges and returns?

Q: When I log on and register my personal information, will that be kept private?

A: Payment can be made by credit card or Paypal in the shopping cart.

Q: What is Paypal?
A: Paypal is a convenient online payment facility. Once you are registered with Paypal it allows payment online without sharing your account information. Bank accounts, Credit Card and Debit Card accounts can all be used to fund payments. Paypal is an eBay company providing the most advanced proprietary fraud protection system. It is used globally by many companies.

How do I know my financial information is secure?
A: All information is processed by a secure encrypted web site facility.

Q: Is Teach Me Photo sponsored by any companies?
A: No, we only resell products.

Q: Do you endorse any products?
A: No, but most products we sell will have been trialled for suitability.

Q: Do I need Adobe Photoshop Elements® for editing photos?
A: If you are buying our DVD’s on photo editing it is highly recommended, as this is the software demonstrated.

Do you give advice on buying a digital camera?
A: No. See the links page for camera review sites.

Can I submit questions about using my camera?
A: Yes, see the Camera Help Q&A page.

How do I register for updates on products and releases?
A: Go to the contact us page and submit an email requesting such. If you make a purchase you are automatically placed on the email update list.

Our downloads work only with Windows 2000, XP or Vista. Mac and unix users should select the DVD disc option. Our movies do play on Windows 98SE; this is not supported, however.

Downloads are recommended for broadband users only. Dialup users should select the DVD disc option.

Downloaded movies require free disk space totalling twice the movie size (eg. a 300Mb movie requires 600Mb of space)

Our movies require a 1GHz Pentium III CPU or better, with 256Mb of RAM or more, and a display resolution of 1024x768 pixels or higher.
