Downloading and playing a movie

  1. Once your payment is completed, click the download link shown (toward the bottom of the page). See the table below for download times.

    You can also download the movie later; to do this, login into the shop and view your orders, the download link is displayed on each order. The days you have left to download the file will be displayed next to the download link.

  2. Your browser will ask you what to do with the file, in a box similar to the one below. Click Save.

  3. When the download is complete, double-click the downloaded file. If you see a security warning, click Run.

    Accept the Terms of Use, then click Install.

    The movie will then be installed to a folder named 'teach_me_photo' your desktop.

    Note: Do not move or rename this folder because when consecutive movies are downloaded you may not be able to access them or play them properly at a later date.

  4. When extraction is complete, the movie launch page will open automatically.

    To open the launch page again later, open the 'teach_me_photo' folder on your desktop, and double-click the file "'index.html'.

Our movies will take approximately the following time to download, depending on the speed of your connection:

Note that actual times will vary, due to other traffic on your network, protocol overheads, linespeed fluctuation, and other reasons.

Resuming an incomplete download

If your download is interrupted, you can restart it:

  • If the window displaying the download link is still open, simply click the download link again.
  • If you've closed the confirmation window, login into the shop and view your orders, the download link is displayed on each order. The days you have left to download the file will be displayed next to the download link.

If you restart a download, you may see the message below - click Yes in this case.

If you receive the message below, which warns that your download is corrupted, you'll need to download the movie again. Follow the instructions at the beginning of this section to do this.

This message can appear if your internet connection goes down mid-way through the download, due to insufficient diskspace on your computer, or for other reasons.

Our downloads work only with Windows 2000, XP or Vista. Mac and unix users should select the DVD disc option. Our movies do play on Windows 98SE; this is not supported, however.

Downloads are recommended for broadband users only. Dialup users should select the DVD disc option.

Downloaded movies require free disk space totalling twice the movie size (eg. a 300Mb movie requires 600Mb of space)

Our movies require a 1GHz Pentium III CPU or better, with 256Mb of RAM or more, and a display resolution of 1024x768 pixels or higher.
