About Greg Edwards: Teacher & Owner

At the 'ripe' age of 16, Greg started off with an old Agfa folding 120 film camera that was a gift from his father. Greg soon caught the bug! With a background of both parents being keen photographers and cinematographers it was no wonder that some of it had rubbed off.

Since then Greg has spent the last 32 years in his own photography business covering wedding, portrait, commercial and advertising. After changing over to exciting new digital technology in 1996, teaching became a natural extension and he has taught photography part time at several technical colleges in Perth. In 2002 he commenced teaching private classes in his own studio for digital camera users.

He has won several awards for portraiture while being a member of the professional body, the Australian Institute of Professional Photography.

After attending a part time 3 year Art course for drawing studies in the 80’s Greg discovered a passion for combining photographs and artwork, resulting in a collection of hybrid pieces of art. He has had several one-man exhibitions and prints may be purchased at his website.

Greg, with his wife and partner Loretta have 3 adult children, 1 grandchild and a dog.

Where we are

Our studio is situated in Northbridge, Perth, Western Australia and is very close to the Perth central railway station and CAT bus services.

What we do

Greg believes that 'inside everybody there is a good photographer' and that their potential creative talent can be cultivated by learning a series of simple techniques.

There is a range of step-by-step Workshops each covering all camera types and also Photoshop Elements for the editing side. With a maximum of only 4 people per workshop, this optimizes your intake of information for a faster and a more satisfying learning experience.

Greg also believes in supporting budding photographers, so he has created this website, for Questions & Answers and sharing information through a web-based community.
